Consistent Discipline It’s Your Secret

Consistent Discipline is the ultimate growth hack!

Do your days start with OMG you’ve got to be kidding me I have to write another Social Media Post? Didn’t I just do that last week? Are you tired of feeling like you’re just going through the motions and not seeing real growth in your online business?

It’s easy to get bogged down in the day-to-day tasks of running a business,

But remember, consistency is the key to growing your online presence

And the key to consistency is self-discipline.

Because discipline is going to open the door to your online success.

And we know it’s not always easy to stay on track. Because discipline is about doing what needs to be done even when you don’t feel like it. You can’t rely on motivation alone to get things done, you need to rely on discipline & systems.

But don’t worry, discipline doesn’t have to mean a strict and rigid routine. In fact, it can be as simple as incorporating small daily tasks into your routine that will help you stay on track and see real growth in your online business.

Consistent Discipline Small Daily Tasks

Prioritize:

  • Make a to-do list and prioritize the tasks that are most important for your business growth.
  • Tackle those first and get rid of any that aren’t going to help your business grow

If the task is not going to help grow your business why are you doing it?

Set a daily goal:

  • Start each day by setting a goal for yourself that aligns with your overall business goals.
  • It could be something small like writing 500 words of content or making one new business connection.
  • Make sure the goal is achievable within the day.

Side bar: Don’t believe the hype that you have to be pumping out new content all the time to grow your online presence. Instead, focus on creating a few high-quality pieces of content that serve as the foundation of your message.  Now take these pieces and promote the crap out of them.

You don’t need to have a new message for your audience every day, instead, focus on promoting your main ideas repeatedly.

  • Focus on long form content like your YouTube video or Blog Post.
  • Pull out the all the main points and recycle those points in your social media to keep the algorithm happy

Now we’re working smarter.

Stay organized:

  • Keep your workspace and digital files organized to avoid wasting time searching for things.
  • Take the time to setup your work area both virtual and physical in a way that make you more productive.
  • Use tools such as a calendar or task manager to keep track of your schedule and upcoming deadlines.

You don’t want to be overwhelmed right at the start.

Create a content calendar:

That you’ll commit to no matter what.

  • Plan out your content in advance
  • Stick to a schedule to ensure consistent posting and engagement with your audience.

This also helps you stay organized and avoid feeling overwhelmed with constantly having to come up with new content on the spot.

Here’s an example for a one week cycle to start with:

Monday: Gather information for your email newsletter. This will be the topic of the week and the basis for your social posts. Write and schedule 1 automated direct message for the week.

Tuesday: Write and schedule the rest of you posts for the week (include one for the following Monday)

Wednesday: Write & design email newsletter. Review & finalize it

Thursday: Send out the email newsletter. Monitor & analyze engagement on posts and the automated direct message

Friday: Review engagement on email newsletter. Plan & schedule content for the next week

Once you get going you will be ahead of the game and can rearrange your schedule to have weeks of content created and scheduled. Or you can decided on a topic for the month and pull the main points out for each week for your newsletter and social posts.

Use Automation:

  • Use tools and apps that can automate repetitive tasks such as:
    • Scheduling social media posts
    • Sending out emails – you can schedule campaigns and your replies
    • Tracking analytics – use analytics tools to track website traffic and social media metrics
    • Monitor social media metrics such as followers, engagement, and reach

Huge time saver and now you can focus on more important tasks.  Don’t shy away from the Tech.

Track your progress:

  • Keep track of your progress in a journal or spreadsheet
  • Keep a log of accomplishments and successes to reference and measure progress over time
  • Set up a system to track your networking and networking opportunities

This will help you see how far you’ve come and where you need to improve.

Be consistent:

Consistency is key when it comes to building an online presence.

  • Set aside a specific time each day to work on your business.
  • Time blocking is your friend.

Time blocking is a method of scheduling where specific blocks of time are designated for specific tasks or activities.

You increase productivity and focus by breaking up the day into manageable chunks and reducing the chances of distractions and interruptions.

For example, you might block off the first hour of the day for checking and responding to emails, the second hour for working on a specific project, and so on.

It can also be used to schedule in time for breaks, exercise, and other non-work activities to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Overall, time blocking is a technique for managing time more effectively and making the most of the available time.

By incorporating these small daily tasks into your routine, you’ll not only feel more disciplined and in control, but you’ll also see real growth in your online business.

Remember, it’s the small steps that lead to big success. Use discipline and a structured approach for long-term success in growing your online presence.
